TAG Oil announces resignation of founder and chairman, Alex P. Guidi


 

Tag Oil has announced that its Founder, Chairman and Director, Alex P. Guidi, has resigned to pursue other opportunities, effective immediately.

 

Alex P. Guidi commented, “I have sincerely enjoyed working with TAG Oil, but after an exciting thirty plus years in the international oil and gas industry, I am going to focus my attention on interests outside of this industry.” Mr. Guidi further stated, “At this time, I wish to thank everyone at TAG Oil and I am very grateful for the long-standing working relationships and friendships that were forged along the way.”

 

Toby Pierce, TAG Oil’s CEO commented, “Our entire team at TAG Oil would like to sincerely thank Alex for his vision, leadership and countless efforts over the years, and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

NNPC to support indigenous participation in Nigeria’s Oil Industry

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has pledged to provide more support to indigenous companies in Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Industry. Group Managing Director of the Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru, made the pledge while commissioning the Lagos Midstream Jetty (LMJ) at the Apapa Harbour in Lagos on Tuesday. “NNPC will continue to support all players in the downstream sector of the Oil and Gas industry towards efficient product supply and distribution across the Country,” he stated. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will host the 7 th   OPEC International Seminar at the Imperial Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria, on 20−21 June 2018 under the theme, ‘Petroleum – cooperation for a sustainable future’. The Seminar will provide fresh impetus to key petroleum industry issues and challenges, helping to enhance existing avenues of dialogue and cooperation, while stimulating new ones.  The Seminar will feature presentations by officials from energy and oil ministries, executives from oil companies and financial firms, and other representatives from international organizations and research institutions.
